About Catherine
Catherine brings over 12 years of experience in the floristry industry, with the first six years at the renowned Flowers by Passion in Bath. There, she designed and delivered numerous weddings, managed hotel contracts, and catered to private homes. She expanded the company’s client base to include prestigious hotels such as Babington House and The Gainsborough Bath Spa. As a senior designer, Catherine worked with luxury brands like Chanel, DB Ventures, Estée Lauder, and Aveeno.
More recently, Catherine worked in London for Ronny Colbie, managing his fast-paced Balham store and creating floral arrangements for Jo Loves, Levi’s, and Sheer Luxe amongst others. She has also installed Christmas decorations for homes and hotels across the South, and delivered large-scale installations for music festivals, functions, and corporate events.
Working freelance, Catherine has collaborated with renowned names like Paula Rooney, Dreamboats and Carousels, and Caroline Sands Floral Design.
In 2019, Catherine took a sabbatical from her floristry career to fulfil her long-term dream of experiencing a ski season in Val d’Isère. She immediately fell in love with the place and decided to make it her home. Despite the interruption of a global pandemic, she was thrilled to launch Atelier Floral in 2022, in the town she now calls home.
Here, she has gained a reputation for her unique, long-lasting arrangements, contemporary style, and commitment to using a diverse range of the best quality flowers available.
About Our Workshop
Our workshop is nestled in the heart of Le Fornet Old Town, providing an inspiring space for us to craft our designs. We also store our van here, ensuring that our flowers are protected from the weather and can be loaded safely even during storms.
Our handmade workbench, made from reclaimed timber, allows for ample storage for all of the vases and props we have, and allows us to look after our flowers and store them in the best conditions possible. We feel incredibly fortunate to have secured this space in a town bursting with so much activity.
